History of 3 Pipos Restaurant

This family run restaurant started serving its customers since May 1992. To start this project there were two fundamental factors, the building where the restaurant is and the family knowledge about this region’s gastronomy.

This space which is now a restaurant with five different dining rooms, all with original stone walls, was converted from an elementary wine-making space.
The decor is simple and rustic based on antique implements used by Portuguese ancestors to help them in different jobs.

The food preparation, which is carried out by the Chef Maria de Jesus (Jú), is inspired by traditional and ancient flavours from the Beira Alta region. Initially she was supported by her mother, Chef Fernanda, a well known lady in this region for being an avid chef and a passionate foodie.

Finally, to match the gastronomic experience, the 3 Pipos staff members strive to create a warm, friendly atmosphere with exemplary service to make you feel at home.
